Guess What?
It's a well known fact (or at least well known to Biglorryblog) that only a Mother could love an ugly child---and no one would ever describe the Unimog as being the most attractive of commercial vehicles. But then with Unimog it's definitely a case of form following function.
However, it seems Mercedes has clearly decided to give its ultimate go-anywhere off-road machine a real makeover and for Hanover it's taken its legendary 4x4 concept one step further with the launch of the U20 with a smart new cab-over tilt-cab design on top of the customary permanent all-wheel drive chassis with portal axles. Having the cab over the U20's 156hp four-cylinder engine ensures the driver has an even better field of vision, crucial to safe off-road driving, while wide-opening doors ensure easy access into the office.
Meanwhile, the new Unimog U20 will be rolled out in the second half of 2007 and Biglorryblog says 'Hey, good looking...'
