Low down car transporters on Biglorryblog!
How low can you go, with a Peterbilt and Renault...
I've had this picture kicking around the Bigloryblog 'use some day soon err....maybe tomorrow?' file so it's about time I did. This splendid creation is a Peterbilt specially set up for car transporter work in the US. Take it from me that IS quite low for a US bonneted behemoth...although you'd have though they'd have re-routed with the twin vertical stacks along the way! I got the picture from the excellent owners' photo gallery within the 'our community' section of the Peterbilt site. The truck belongs to Carl Stephens of Carl's Car Carriers, Pine Knot, Kentucky and seeing it reminded me of another low-down transporter picture I've had kicking around---only this time with a Renault Premium up front.

Hey Brian ! Perusing the web today I found this blog article and the Peterbilt caught my eye...it's actually my own! I'm the Yank (Carl Stephens) mentioned in your blog. Love the Renaults also. Us car transporters don't get a lot of props but it's always nice to see somebody notices. ;-)
Good luck and Keep On Truckin'.

Just wondering if you have any idea when the show is on this year (2008) I have just looked on the Heritage site and its showing a Classic & Vintage Commercial Show... is that the same as the usual truck festival we have attended for the last few years??
Many thanks
