At least his trucks do on Biglorryblog!

Ashley Lovering says: "I am away on Tuesday so here are a few more pics. This time its Thames." And what a collection too Ashley! And thanks from Biglorryblog and all my anorak army. The cabover model (or perhaps you might even describe it as semi-forward control?) was certainly distinctive.

Indeed I can't think of anyone else that made a truck like this. Yet am I imagining things or is there more than just a passing resemblance in the bonneted Thames truck (seen below) to the old Bedford or indeed between the earlier bonneted Thames and the Leyland or Comet Dodge Kew? Did they share cabs or cab shells....or was it just that the were all working to the same basic design parameters?
