Reducing Vehicle And Driver Impact On The Environment

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) are holding an interactive one-day seminar on Tuesday 11th October 2005.

Entitled 'Reducing Vehicle and Driver Impact on the Environment', the seminar is in conjunction with their Sustainable Distribution Forum and is being hosted by the Transport Research Laboratory, Wokingham.

The seminar will explore a number of issues the industry is currently managing to support the aim to reduce both vehicle and driver impact within the UK.

Topics covered will include alternative fuel technology for freight vehicles, safer and energy efficient driving, driver training and effective urban distribution. An opportunity to use TRL's driver simulator will also be open to all seminar delegates.

Speakers will include: Professor Michael J Browne MSC BA FCILT of University of Westminster, Kenneth Moore, Iveco Ltd and Simon Clifford MILT of CH Jones Limited, Paul Beresford, DDT and Colin Trevelen and Duncan Bond of TRL.
