Award-Winning New Fiorino in UK
The latest addition to the Fiat Professional range of Light Commercial Vehicles, the new Fiat Fiorino van, has just gone on sale in the UK.
In line with market predictions suggesting a substantial demand for a small, modern delivery van, Fiat’s new Fiorino is proving to be a big success across Europe. At the end of February this year, Fiorino sales had already exceeded 14,400 units, even though in several countries the new van had only just been launched. Fiat’s new van went on sale in Italy at the close of 2007.
The new Fiorino, recently crowned the 2008 Fleet World Honours Best New Van, joins the UK Fiat Professional product line-up at a time of expansion for the brand’s LCV sales, which increased to 13,972 in 2007, from 12,897 in 2006 (+8.3%).
Developed via a joint venture between Fiat and PSA, and manufactured at the Tofas plant in Bursa, Turkey, the new Fiorino occupies a unique LCV segment, being the first ultra-compact vehicle to have been specifically designed for use in busy towns and cities.
The rapid growth of e-commerce in particular has led to a substantial increase in demand for small vans to deliver goods and services ‘the last mile’ to homes and businesses. In this context, compact dimensions and outstanding manoeuvrability outweigh the need for excessive carrying capacities. And with an overall length of only 3864 mm and a turning circle between kerbs of just 9.95 metres, allied to a load capacity of 610 kg (including the driver) and a maximum load length of almost 2.5 metres, the Fiat Fiorino sets new standards in ultra-compact urban van practicality.
Seven versions of the new Fiorino, priced from £7,999 to £9,647 + VAT, are available from launch, embracing three trim levels – Cargo Base, Cargo SX, and Combi. Two Combi variants are available; a four-seat version homologated for goods transport with a 338 kg payload, and a five-seat version homologated for the transportation of passengers plus 270 kg of goods.
Available later in 2008, a Fiorino Adventure variant will further increase the versatility of the new Fiat Professional LCV range with the addition of numerous features designed to adapt both Cargo and Combi versions for use on rough, unsurfaced roads and construction sites. These features include suspension raised by 20 mm, 15” wheels, an engine guard incorporated within the front bumper, additional side body protection, mud flaps, and bespoke, hardwearing and practical interior upholstery.
The new Fiat Fiorino goes on sale in the UK with a choice of two powerplants; the latest, 75 bhp derivation of Fiat Group’s widely acclaimed, state-of-the-art 1.3 litre 16-valve MultiJet turbodiesel, and a refined and economical 73 bhp 1.4 litre 8-valve petrol engine. Both units are Euro 4 compliant, the 1.3 16v MultiJet also meeting the emissions limits which are expected to be set by forthcoming Euro 5 standards, more than a year before the legislative deadline.
Each powerplant is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while, unique to the small van segment, the 1.3 litre MultiJet unit may also be optionally equipped with Comfort Matic – a clutchless, electro-hydraulic, 6-speed sequential manual shift with a selectable fully automatic mode.
Augmenting a practical, comfortable and notably quiet cab interior developed through the extensive use of virtual ergonomics, the new Fiat Professional LCV’s equipment specification has been carefully considered to simplify and enhance life on board, with hydraulic power steering, ABS with EBD, driver’s front airbag, a radio/CD player, adjustable headlamps, height adjustable steering wheel and driver’s seat, and a ladder bulkhead fitted as standard even within entry level models.
These comprehensive equipment packages are enhanced by a range of options carefully considered to further improve the working practicality of the new Fiorino, and include manual climate control with pollen filter, reverse parking sensors, Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity, a radio/CD/MP3 player, heated rear window with wash/wipe, a diesel particulate filter, Comfort Matic automatic transmission and a Thatcham security pack.
In addition, the working capabilities of the new Fiorino range may be further enhanced through a choice of one or two sliding doors, a foldable front passenger seat, a panelled bulkhead with or without glass partition, a removable loading area light with torch function, longitudinal roof bars and winter tyres.
Despite its compact overall dimensions, the new Fiorino boasts a spacious, practical load compartment with minimal wheel arch intrusion and a total volume of 2.5 cubic metres, which may be increased to 2.8 cubic metres in conjunction with the optional, folding passenger seat. With a payload of 610 kg (including driver) and an internal loadspace length of 1.52 metres, extending to almost 2.5 metres with the passenger seat folded down, the Fiorino sets new loadspace standards in a vehicle less than 3.9 metres long.
For ease of loadspace access, the load threshold is just 527 mm high. The full-height, asymmetrical (60/40) rear doors may be opened through both 90 and, via retractable tie-rods, 180 degrees, and customers may specify either one or two sliding side doors. Every Fiorino version boasts a 1046mm loading width between rear wheel arches, six strong, practical load securing rings and a robust, nine-rung, steel ladder cab/load compartment partition.
Economical to run, agile in traffic, easy to park and inexpensive to repair, the new Fiat Fiorino occupies a unique position in the small van segment, setting new standards of practicality, refinement and durability in the ultra-compact urban LCV market.
DESIGN
Exterior
Styled by Fiat Centro Stile for the Fiat Professional range, the new Fiorino has been specifically designed for use in the urban environment. Just 3864 mm long, 1716 mm wide and 1721 mm high, the ultra-compact Fiat LCV is 400 mm shorter overall than the Fiat Doblo, yet boasts an interior only 160 mm shorter.
The Fiorino is immediately recognisable through a striking, robust, front end design dominated by a large, wraparound, impact-resistant front bumper; a nose section that not only reinforces the new LCV’s strength and durability, but also fulfils an important practical purpose: the headlamps, foglights, bonnet and radiator are the most expensive parts to replace at the front of any vehicle and, set back some 100mm from the external edges of the front bumper on the new Fiorino, have been positioned as far as possible from areas most likely to be affected by a frontal impact. For the same reason, the Fiat’s bonnet and headlamps are set higher than those of any other vehicle in its class, whilst inexpensive headlight and radiator grille repair kits have been designed specifically to minimise repair costs.
Cab aerodynamics play a fundamental role in maximising Light Commercial Vehicle performance, fuel economy and acoustic comfort, and extensive wind tunnel testing was conducted to hone both the Fiorino’s aerodynamic and – through the shaping of the front lights, door mirrors and rear spoiler allied to the optimisation of door and window seals – aeroacoustic specifications.
Allied to a front end cross-section of just 0.82 square metres, the resultant drag factor of just Cd 0.31 is a class leading figure.
In profile, the sharp, squared-off lines of a load compartment designed to afford the maximum possible practical load volume are enhanced by broad, readily replaceable side protection strips and vertically positioned, ‘suitcase’ style cabin and sliding door handles for ease of use with either hand. Combi versions of the new Fiorino feature a single flush-bonded side glazing surface which enhances both the vehicle’s crisp styling and its aerodynamic performance.
At the rear, the large bumper and high visibility, two-tone upright tail lamp clusters frame asymmetrical rear doors (glazed in Combi versions), whilst the third brake light is housed in an aerodynamic spoiler which forms the upper architrave of the doors.
New Fiorino will be available in a range of nine paint colours, four pastel and five metallic.
Cab Interior
On-board well-being is of paramount importance to the user of a commercial vehicle who spends long hours at the wheel, often under demanding conditions. The combination of a raised driving position, seat and steering wheel adjustability and generous glazing afford the Fiat Fiorino driver a comfortable, ergonomically adaptable driving position allied to excellent visibility.
Through the extensive use of virtual ergonomics, Fiat’s designers have painstakingly evaluated every aspect of the Fiorino cab interior to ensure that overall cockpit room, driver and passenger seat position and posture, switchgear and instrumentation ergonomics, storage practicality, and acoustic, climatic and vibrational comfort will readily meet the requirements of an increasingly discerning LCV customer base.
The modular dashboard offers rational, ergonomic management of instrumentation, switchgear and up to 12 open and enclosed storage compartments including a document shelf, laptop computer storage and door panel compartments shaped to hold a 1-litre bottle. The elliptical instrument panel is located under a prominent, anti-glare dome, allowing speedometer, rev counter, water temperature and fuel gauges, and a digital trip computer display to be read easily and immediately under all lighting conditions.
Careful consideration has gone into the placement of all centre console functions to offer ease of access with minimal driver distraction. The gear lever’s position at the base of the centre console brings it within the closest practical proximity of the steering wheel, allowing for quick, accurate changes with minimum physical effort.
Load Compartment
Despite its compact overall dimensions, the new Fiorino boasts a spacious, practical load compartment with minimal wheel arch intrusion and a total volume of 2.5 cubic metres, which may be increased to 2.8 cubic metres in conjunction with the optional, folding passenger seat.
With a payload of 610 kg (driver included) and an internal loadspace length of 1.52 metres, extending to almost 2.5 metres with the passenger seat folded down, the Fiat LCV sets new loadspace standards in a vehicle less than 3.9 metres long.
For ease of loadspace access, the load threshold is just 527 mm high. The full-height, asymmetrical (60/40) rear doors have four locking points, one of which is central, and may be opened through both 90 and, via retractable tie-rods, 180 degrees. The doors have a minimum access width of 1056 mm and a maximum width of 1140 mm, with minimum and maximum heights of 1040 mm and 1060 mm respectively.
Customers may specify either one or two sliding side doors, each offering access 1041 mm high and from 570 mm to 644 mm wide. The doors feature an upper bearing rail and a sliding guide in the centre of the bodywork. Combined with an easy, convenient vertical ‘suitcase’ handle grip, this robust design is serviceable, effective and reliable.
Every Fiorino version boasts a 1046 mm loading width between rear wheel arches and six strong, practical load securing rings compliant with the DIN 75410 standard. A side roof light connected to an automatic timer may be installed within the load compartment, and an optional removable light also serves as a torch.
The new Fiorino is fitted, as standard, with a robust, nine-rung, steel ladder cab/load compartment partition. A solid, sound absorbent partition is also available, with or without a glazed panel, as well as a combination solid panel and grille bulkhead. All partitions meet DIN 75410 safety regulations for the protection of the driver from possible load intrusions into the cab.
Combi
Featuring a restyled front bumper with a front overhang 95mm wider than that of Cargo versions, a semi-glazed bodyshell, glazed double rear doors and hardwearing upholstery for commercial use, two Combi versions of the new Fiat LCV are available; a four-seat variant homologated for goods transport, and a five-seat variant homologated for the transportation of passengers.
The passenger version combines seating for five with a 270 kg payload. With a depth of 743 mm and a height of 592 mm to the level of the rear luggage rack, the loadspace is equipped with four floor-mounted loading rings and has a capacity of 356 litres. This capacity may be increased to some 2500 litres through the removal of the fold-down three-seat rear bench. The luggage rack may be partially or completely folded, or unhooked and stowed in a bespoke compartment behind the rear seat.
When fitted with a transverse bulkhead separating the cab from the loadspace, goods-certified Combi versions will accommodate four passengers plus a payload of 338 kg, with a load volume of 537 litres.
Adventure
Available later this year, the Fiorino Adventure version further increases the versatility of the new Fiat LCV range with the addition of numerous features designed to adapt both Cargo and Combi versions for use on rough, unsurfaced roads and construction sites. These features include suspension raised by 20 mm, 15” tyres, an engine guard incorporated within the front bumper, additional side body protection, mud flaps, and bespoke, hardwearing and practical interior upholstery.
NVH
Particular emphasis has been placed on eliminating the transmission of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) to the cab of the new Fiat Fiorino, further enhancing on-board comfort with the quietest possible, vibration-free interior. The new LCV’s total acoustic comfort value is a class-leading 80 (66 decibels) during steady acceleration in fifth gear at 50 mph, and 68 (71 decibels) in fifth gear at 62 mph.
Minimisation of NVH remained paramount throughout the development of the chassis and body. The rigid bodyshell and aluminium cross-member, the core structural elements of the new Fiorino, together with optimised ribbing and box sections, increase stiffness at points subject to road vibrations and minimise the vehicle’s acoustic sensitivity. Moreover, the extensive deployment of sound absorbing polyurethane foams, and heat expanding membranes to seal panels and structural box sections, prevents noise propagation and isolates the cab compartment from the outside world.
MODEL RANGE AND EQUIPMENT
Including one four seat Combi version specifically homologated for goods transport, the new Fiat Fiorino is available in seven versions from launch, as follows:

In addition, the working capabilities of the new Fiorino range may be further enhanced through a second sliding door, a foldable front passenger seat, a panelled bulkhead with or without glass partition, a removable loading area light with torch function, longitudinal roof bars, and winter tyres.
Bluetooth connectivity
The new Fiat Fiorino may be equipped with Bluetooth hands-free mobile phone technology, to ensure maximum driving safety under all conditions. The system allows for the use of Bluetooth compatible mobile phones anywhere on board, even when stowed in storage compartments, jackets or handbags.
The Bluetooth hands-free system is fully integrated into the new Fiat, and will store details of, and manage, several mobile phones simultaneously, enabling more than one passenger to make use of the hands-free facility. The system automatically lowers the volume of the radio, and allows you to hear the caller through the stereo loudspeakers. An integral, echo-cancellation system maintains sound quality without any deterioration in timbre, thus preventing unpleasant, metallic tones.
Thatcham security pack
Offering the potential for insurance cover discounting through enhanced security, the pack comprises deadlocks, an engine immobiliser and a dual-sensor alarm, resulting in a five star Thatcham rating for security from theft, and a four star rating for break-in resistance.
Adventure pack
Available later in 2008, the Adventure pack further increases the versatility of the Fiorino range with the addition of numerous features designed to adapt both Cargo and Combi versions of Fiat’s new LCV for use on rough, unsurfaced roads and construction sites.

Parking sensor
The parking sensor, which is activated whenever the ignition is switched on and reverse gear engaged, consists of four ultrasound sensors fitted in the rear bumper linked to an electronic control unit and a buzzer.
The four detectors cover the rear corners of the new Fiorino from a distance of less than 60 cm, and the area immediately behind the vehicle from a distance of less than 150 cm. Proximity information is transmitted to the driver in the form of bleeps at intervals. The bleeps are emitted with increasing frequency, becoming a continuous signal when the car reaches a distance of 30 cm from any obstacle.
SAFETY
The new Fiat Fiorino meets preventive safety needs with an adjustable cockpit that adapts perfectly to drivers of any size. The combination of a raised driving position allied to an extensive glazed area allows the best possible view of the road ahead. User-friendly ergonomics allow drivers to operate all instruments and controls without taking their eyes off the road, and the new Fiorino’s excellent all round visibility is further enhanced by the availability of a heated rear window with wash/wipe, and parking sensors.
PASSIVE SAFETY
Fiorino chassis and body have been designed to provide exceptional torsional stiffness (133,000 Nm/rad) yet absorb impact with maximum efficiency.
The front end of the Fiorino has been styled to reduce damage (and repair costs) in the event of low speed frontal impacts, with large, smooth edged mouldings affording maximum protection to both vehicle and pedestrians. Collapse points and restraining hooks incorporated within the bonnet prevent it from detaching and penetrating the windscreen in the event of an accident.
The loadspace side doors contain high-tensile steel bars for impact protection and have been designed to resist opening under impact, yet remain operable after the event. All Fiorino Cargo versions are fitted, as standard, with a 9-bar steel ladder bulkhead to protect cabin occupants against moving cargo, and numerous optional bulkhead types are also available, including panelled, panelled with window and panelled with grille.
The new Fiorino is equipped with three-point seatbelts throughout, whilst front anti-submarining seats are equipped with generous head restraints and height adjustable seatbelts with pre-tensioners and load limiters.
Airbags
In addition to a 60 litre, dual-stage driver’s airbag fitted as standard, the new Fiat Fiorino may be equipped with a 120 litre passenger airbag and 12 litre side airbags located inside the front seat backrests. Their operation is controlled by an electronic control unit that evaluates crash severity via a number of sensors located throughout the vehicle.
The front passenger airbag may be deactivated manually via the menu on the control panel. A dashboard warning light indicates this condition. Though the seatbelt pretensioner remains active, a rear facing baby seat can therefore be safely fitted.
Fire Prevention System
The FPS includes a cut-off valve and an inertia switch which immediately locks the electric petrol pump. This prevents fuel loss in the case of impact, roll-over or damage to the fuel lines. The fuel tank is formed in a plastic resistant to mechanical stress and fire. Special care has been taken over the location of key components within the engine bay, electrical system, fuel system and brakes to minimise the risk of damage by fault or accident. And the new Fiorino's interior trim is also flame resistant.
ACTIVE SAFETY
The servo assisted braking system features two independent crossover hydraulic circuits to ensure prompt, linear braking and shorter stopping distances. The new Fiorino features front disc and rear drum brakes, fitted as standard across the range.
Front discs measure 257 mm x 22 mm, enlarged to 284 mm x 22 mm on Comfort Matic versions. Rear drums measure 203 mm x 38 mm on 1.4 litre petrol versions, and 228 mm x 40 mm on Fiorino models equipped with the 1.3 MultiJet powerplant. A large diameter, 10” brake servo features an aluminium pump and long travel to ensure a high reserve of pedal travel even under extreme conditions of overheating due to extensive use.
ABS with EBD
An advanced BOSCH 8 ABS system, featuring four active sensors, four channels and a hydraulic control unit with eight solenoids, is fitted as standard across the entire Fiat Fiorino range.
The system is complemented by an Electronic Brakeforce Distributor (EBD) that governs the braking action on all four wheels to prevent the wheels locking and ensure full control of the car in all situations. The system also adapts its operation to wheel grip conditions and brake pad efficiency to reduce pad overheating and the brake servo thrust requirement.
ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS
1.3 16v MultiJet
It features twin overhead camshafts, a chain driven timing system, hydraulic tappets, a cast iron crankcase with an aluminium base, a steel crankshaft and an aluminium cylinder head. The cylinder head is equipped with highly efficient directional intake ports to ensure an optimum fuel mix despite the small bore. The 1.3 MultiJet engine is boosted by a Borg-Warner fixed geometry turbocharger with wastegate and intercooler, and possesses an electronically controlled exhaust gas recirculation and cooling system.
The engine offers two highly innovative features: extremely compact dimensions (460 mm long, 500 mm wide and 650 mm high) that enable it to be installed in city cars, and the sophisticated MultiJet technology of second generation JTDs. The latter is the fruition of groundbreaking development work at the Fiat Research Centre, itself responsible for the introduction of the world's first UniJet Common Rail diesel engine in 1997.
Within a UniJet engine, a pilot injection raises temperature and pressure inside the cylinder to improve combustion at the time of the main stroke. However, by dividing the main injection into a number of smaller injections, a MultiJet engine affords a fuller, more gradual combustion whilst the amount of diesel burnt at each stroke remains the same. This promotes smoother, quieter combustion, reduced emissions and increased performance.
A MultiJet engine differs from its UniJet counterpart in two essential areas: the injectors and the electronic control unit.
To facilitate multi-injection, the new injectors can both reduce the time lag between injections from 1500 to just 150 microseconds, and reduce the minimum quantity of fuel injected from 2 to less than 1 mm3. In tandem, the new control unit modulates injection strategy continually to adjust to changes within three parameters: engine rpm, torque required at any given time by the driver and coolant temperatures.
Thus, when coolant temperature is less than 60 degrees and torque requirement low, two small and one large injections are performed. As torque demand increases, the number of injections drops to two; one small and one large. Under conditions of high rpm and high torque demand, only one injection is required whilst, with coolant temperature at over 60 degrees, emissions are minimised with one small, one large, then one small injection in the sequence.
Start-up times and exhaust smoke are significantly reduced; noise levels and vibration are lowered to ensure a quieter drive and improved passenger comfort; fuel consumption is reduced by a further 10% and emission control reduction amounts to 50%.
With CO2 emissions of only 119 g/km, the 75 bhp 1.3 16v MultiJet engine is extremely eco-friendly, thanks to an emissions control system which features an electronically triggered Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve managed directly by the engine control system, a heat exchanger to cool recirculating exhaust gas and a close coupled catalytic converter. Available as an option, the particulate trap (DPF) is a ‘for life’ system that needs no regenerating additives.
The compact, sophisticated 1.3 litre MultiJet engine is a paragon of efficiency and reliability. Recording 62.8 mpg in the combined cycle, the new Fiorino has a range of over 620 miles on one 45-litre tank of fuel. The use of low-viscosity oil optimises fuel economy, oil change intervals are set at 18,000 miles or 24 months, and the unit has been designed to cover over 150,000 miles without the need for any maintenance to the mechanical components.
1.4 8v
TRANSMISSIONS
Both petrol and turbodiesel powerplants are mated to reliable, robust and sophisticated 5-speed manual gearboxes, while the 1.3 litre MultiJet unit may also be optionally equipped with Comfort Matic – a clutchless, electro-hydraulic, 6-speed sequential manual shift with a selectable fully automatic mode.
The compact, 5-speed manual gearboxes are of transverse configuration with two cascade shafts, whilst the speed control is internal, with four selection levels. Both gearboxes feature a dual cable external control that filters engine vibrations transmitted, a gear lever offering outstanding selection manoeuvrability, hydraulic
clutches to promote ease of use, efficiency and low running noise, and a syringe mechanism to prevent involuntary reverse engagement.
Comfort Matic
Unique to the small van segment, the innovative Comfort Matic transmission system features a servo-automated clutch and gear lever, while retaining all the attributes of a dry clutch and manual gearbox; low weight, strength, reliability and fuel economy.
Two operating modes are selectable; semi-automatic and automatic. In the absence of a clutch pedal, fast, accurate gear changing in semi-automatic mode simply requires the movement of the lever forward to change up and back to change down.
Once the Fiorino has been started, brake pedal pressure allows the selection of either first or reverse gear (second gear may be selected to aid traction in slippery conditions). To ensure safety and prevent unsolicited gear changes, the system automatically engages neutral when the engine is still running and the door is opened. Comfort Matic also prevents gear changing errors that risk damage to engine or transmission, reinforced with both visual and aural alarms.
Reducing fuel consumption without compromising performance, the Comfort Matic system offers the ideal compromise for those who prefer an automatic gearbox for day-to-day use, but do not wish to relinquish the driver involvement and satisfaction of a manual change.
RIDE AND HANDLING
Suspension
The new Fiat Fiorino suspension system has been designed to offer safety, comfort, lower tyre wear, full exploitation of the maximum load limits, a lower load compartment and better road holding and handling irrespective of road surface and vehicle use.
Delivering high levels of ride comfort and driving safety, along with exceptional grip and minimal roll, the front suspension is an independent, MacPherson strut system with triangular lower arms and aluminium stabilisers, which reduce system weight without affecting performance.
This proven system has been comprehensively re-evaluted for use within the new Fiorino, and includes revisions to the offset coil springs, shock absorber calibration, bushing rigidity, blocks and rubber bump stops, and the profile and diameter of the anti-roll bar.
At the rear, the new Fiat LCV employs a lightweight, torsion beam axle configuration to maximise ride comfort, driveability and handling performance. Combining lower weight with increased structural rigidity and excellent roll resistance without the need for a separate anti-roll bar, the highly compact torsion beam system also affords the Fiorino a particularly low loading sill height of just 527 mm and a loadspace width between wheel arches of 1046 mm.
Allied to wide front and rear track dimensions of 1469 mm and 1465 mm respectively (1465 mm front track on Adventure versions), the new Fiorino’s suspension system combines outstanding handling precision, maximum driving ease and optimum road holding with maximum permitted loads of 900 kg at the front axle and 905 kg at the rear.
Power steering
The new Fiorino features hydraulic power steering that has been specifically calibrated to provide a more centred, accurate feel while ensuring that the effort required is suited to the various conditions of use, for urban driving and parking manoeuvres in particular. Specifically, the power steering is provided by an electro-pump developed specifically for the new model, controlled by the speed of the vehicle and the speed at which the steering wheel is turned. Power steering is therefore unrelated to engine speed. Apart from the added driving pleasure this generates in comparison with traditional power steering systems, it also helps to reduce fuel consumption.
The turning circle of the new Fiat Fiorino is just 9.95 metres between kerbs.
Wheels and Tyres
The Fiat Fiorino range is fitted, as standard, with 14” wheels and 175/70 R14 tyres. 15” wheels with 185/65 R15 tyre are available as an option, and are fitted as standard to all Combi and forthcoming Adventure models.

The pack includes suspension raised by 20 mm, 15” tyres, an engine guard incorporated within the front bumper, additional side body protection, mud flaps and bespoke, hardwearing and practical interior upholstery.
1.3 16v MultiJet
- 1248 cc
- 4-cylinders, 16 valves
- Power - 75 bhp @ 4000 rpm
- Torque - 140 lb.ft @ 1750 rpm
- Top Speed - 97 mph
- Acceleration 0-62 mph - 15.4 seconds
- Fuel Consumption:
- in town - 49.6 mpg
- out of town - 74.3 mpg
- combined - 62.8 mpg
- CO2 - 119 g/km
1.4 8v
- 1360 cc
- 4-cylinders, 8 valves
- Power - 73 bhp @ 5200 rpm
- Torque - 87 lb.ft @ 2600 rpm
- Top Speed - 97 mph
- Acceleration 0-62 mph - 15 seconds
- Fuel Consumption:
- in town - 32.1 mpg
- out of town - 47.9 mpg
- combined - 40.9 mpg
- CO2 - 164 g/km
