CitySprint Delivers Rememberance Umbrellas
CitySprint has made its annual delivery of memorial poppy umbrellas to the Chelsea Flower show for the third year running.
With the English weather being as unpredictable as it is, the souvenir shop at the Chelsea Flower Show has stocked up on the umbrellas just in case visitors need to keep dry!
CitySprint collected the poppy umbrellas from Rembrella, the organisation that supplies the poppy umbrellas, on Thursday 15th May and safely delivered them to the Royal Hospital in Chelsea where the prestigious flower show takes place in time for the show which is taking place between the 20th and 24th May.
Joanna Legg from Rembrella explains “We have been using CitySprint to deliver our Poppy umbrellas to the Chelsea Flower show for the last three years now. We first used them in 2006 when they helped us out of a very sticky situation when torrential rain caused the initial stock of umbrellas to sell out and we needed to get more umbrellas to the show – fast! Since then we have set up an account with CitySprint and have continued to use them for all of our deliveries – they have even made deliveries to Canada for us.”
Joanna continues “CitySprint are 100% reliable and always perform brilliantly no matter what the request. They always specify what time they will be with us and always deliver on time – we are always impressed with the service CitySprint provides and will continue to use them for both national and international deliveries of our poppy umbrellas”.
The unusual Poppy umbrellas, which feature a unique flower design, were inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields and the Flanders poppy fields of Belgium and France, which burst into bloom during the spring and summer on the ravaged 1914-1918 battlefields of the First World War. The umbrellas are produced as a vivid reminder of 'Remembrance’ all year round and all donations raised from retail sales are given to UK Service charities and related good causes.
